BADI or user exit for MM42

Hi,

I am working IS retail and requirement is to restrict MM42 alternative UOM change based on condition and give error message.

I tried below user exit but it is not serving the purpose.
MGW00001 Material Master (Retail): Additional Data
MGW00002 Material Master (Retail): Number Assignment

BADI_MATERIAL_CHECK is working with MM02 but not with MM42.

Please suggest any BADI to server the above mentioned requirement.
