SAP MAC GUI ABAP editor remove Carriage Return when save or activate

Hello Expert,

I'm using SAP MAC GUI 7.40 rev11, when I use ABAP editor, it will automatically remove the carriage return line when I save or activate the code, the problem doesn't happen before..

I tried some changes in pretty printer configuration, doesn't work, I tried Windows SAP Client with same user, no such issue happened. can you help me out?

looking into SAP note 2157163, it seems this has already been solved in 7.40 rev 12.

• TextEdit Control:
  • Empty lines have been ignored when sending the text to the backend using GetTextAsR3Table().

FYI, SAP GUI for Java 7.40 already is out of support. You might want to use the latest 7.50 version.
