Valuation catagory greyed out when creating material for new plant

have just created a new Plant by copying another Plant.

When I try and create a new Material for the new Plant/Material combination, the valuation catagory is greyed out, this stops me from being able to input data so the material can have a split valuation.

When I create the same material for the Plant that was copied the Valuation catagory is available to input so split valuation is possible.

Can anyone help and point me to where the valuation cataory is determined so i can input data so the material can be given a split valuation. This must be possible since the Plant that was copied let split valuation.

Hi,

Go to OMWC and click on "Local Definitions" button.

Here Position cursor on the Plant Code for which you are creating Material Master and click on "Cats. -> OU" button and here position cursor on the valuation Category yu want and click on "Activate" button and Save.

Then check in Material Master creation.

make sure after you create new Plant, you have maintain the Material Type in the new plant, go to OMS2.

How did u copy the plant? in EC02 or OX10?

Split valuation set up steps:

CONFIGURATION

Activate Valuation

Create Valuation Category

Create Valuation Types

Link Categories > Types

Link valid Valuation Categories to Plant

MASTER DATA

Activate Split valuation for a material

(Add Valuation Category in material master)

Create Accounting views for every valuation type

Hi

Please check the following below points

1.Please check whether the Split valuation is active for the plant or not?

2.Do not provide valuation type while creating material.

If still you are getting the field as grey, then let me know what is the exact input data provided while creating material?
