Contract management & Scheduling agreement in SAP R/3

Hi ,

I am new to SRM but working in SAP MM.

Our client is inquiring :

If suppose they get contract management configured in SRM, then similiarly in R/3 can the alert facility of expiring contracts be used in to notify expiring Scheduling agreements also......
