Goods issue for the Batch

Hi all ,

We have stock 974 Kg of X material at plant AB01 and stor.loc XY01 , 100Kg at Batch 123456 . physically the stock is not avilable.

So our user wants to remove from the SAP . We want to scarp the stock for 551 mov.type . When we process the 551 mov.type , it is accepting for the 100Kg only for the combiantion of plant , stor.loc and batch . when I do 551 mov.type for remaining 974 Kg .. for the combiantion of plant , stor.loc and batch .. System displays the "Deficit of BA Unrestricted-use 974 KG" .

Please help us .

pls chk whether stk is available in unrestricted use (mmbe).and proceed.

Ideally u should use physical inventory for correcting the stock.

Hi Kuntal,

At present material stock 974 Kg is availbale at Plant and storage location level , no stock at batch level and material is batch managed .

When we do MI01 , MI04 , MI07 for the stock adustment , system does not pick any stock since the stock at batch is "0".

please suggest how to adust the book stock 974 Kg because there is no physical stock for this material

If your material is batch managed, then you cannot just have stock at storage location level without a batch, except it is not unrestricted use stock.

And if you have stock without batch and then you cannot change the material to become batch managed.

So you either did something to make the material batch managed while there was stock, which I would call an illegal action that causes an inconsistency now.

Or your stock is NOT unrestricted use stock, e.g. it was received into GR blocked stock. GR blocked stock does not allow batches.

Or you just have not set the flag for "show batch stock" at MMBE selection screen, but this would not explain the error message.

Best you clarify your situation to get he best help.

Check the stock situation directly with SE16 in table MARD and table MCHB.

Hi ,

Actually the material X has stock of 974 KG in system , not in physical at stores . so the customer wants to adust the stock using trxs MI01 , MI03 , MI07.

But the stock is not availlable at Batch level , exists at plnt/stor.loc as unrestricte use stock. If we create phy .inv.doc using MI01 , it shows ZERO qty only for the material because no stock at Batch .

Please advise how we can adust the stock for the above situation.

I told you already that this situation in SAP cannot happen, except you have done odd things, e.g. changing the batch management indicator with SE16 or ABAP instead of going thru MM02.

You have to turn your changes back the same way you created them, then you can use the trxs MI01 , MI03 , MI07. to clear the stock.

If you think that there is a SAP error, having stock for a batch managed material without batches, then you have to open a call at SAP for a fix.

I would first check the movements to find out when and with what movements the stock was created. Then check history of material master to find out when the batch management flag was turned on.

HI Amara.

can you review if the stock is in Unrestricted, maybe the problem is that the stock is in another status, for example.

553 - Withdrawal for scrapping from quality inspection stock

555 - Withdrawal for scrapping from blocked stock

557 - Issue from stock in transit (adjustment posting)

other alternative is that the date for GI for the material was made after that the date that the user used for the scrapping. You can use the report MB5B for check it.
