Disable Single sign-on SAP B1

Will un-checking the "Enable Single Sign On" in the System Landscape directory(see image capture.png) disable it to and users will be required to log-in to SAP B1 again?

Now the database name has disappeared from the list even if I press the refresh button. Any idea how to get them back?
