no line items in BSEG

A document has been posted and is an open item, however, when you try to view in FB03, there are no line items only document header is showing

Is the document parked? What status is it in?

Kindly verify the status of your document in document header field BKPF-BSTAT, if it is 'A'.

You could have posted a clearing document without line items. In this case the system only creates an entry in document header table BKPF, but no entry in line item table BSEG.

Note 69727 explains when line items are created for account clearing.
