Hi All,
We have an WD application which takes a material no. and displays the contents in PDF form.
Our installation is NW04s (EP7.0 SPS14) with ABAP+JAVA on HP UX With Oracle. The configuration of the ADS is done and all the configuration checks are successfull.
The application is running properly when we are accessing from office LAN.
The moment we are trying to access it from internet through https (RSA authentication), we are getting the following exception:
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe (errno:32)
at java.net.SocketOutputStream.socketWrite0(Native Method)
at java.net.SocketOutputStream.socketWrite(SocketOutputStream.java:97)
at java.net.SocketOutputStream.write(SocketOutputStream.java:141)
at iaik.security.ssl.m.a(Unknown Source)
at iaik.security.ssl.m.b(Unknown Source)
... 61 more

Any help to resolve this issue would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
For Failed to UPDATEDATAINPDF message, it is most probably the Web Service Security for ADS not being set properly. You may check out the URL of your server settings at the J2EE server
Also the hostname must correspond with the server name that you have.

Sudeep

Dear All,
Thanks for all the reply.
Actually, there were no problem with ADS configuration.
From Internet also, one can see PDF with BASIC Authentication (ADS).
We are using reverse proxy servers for doing the authentication with RSA server, and in the reverse proxy configuration, we did some mistake.
Now the problem has been resolved.
With Regards
Sudip
Sudip,
Most likely you will need to configure the ADS for SSL configuration in your environment.
If not then refer "Check the Configuration of the Web Service SSL Connection" section [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/fa/0b700d6cfd4e03a8ec2186ba6ff4af/frameset.htm].
