SAP IQ Infrastructure ? VMWARE, GPFS experience ?

We would like to refresh our multiplex IQ infrastructure. (IQ V16).

Two paths are studying : VMWare or GPFS.

Is there anybody who have put one of this solution in production ? It's not clear if SAP supports these solutions for a multiplex IQ environement
