Fiori Launchpad is blank showing no groups and tiles

Hi Everyone,

we have a problem that our launchpad does not show any tiles, or groups.

Chrome debugger shows the following message:

cannot read property "getId' of undefined

Anyone has an idea or know this issue?

Please help.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards,

Tobias

Information for all problem was solved by SAP Support.

It was a really strange problem with no idea why this could happen.

Back then we managed to track the issue to personalisation settings (For all users, so the terminology is a bit questionable).

So the solution was to delete

    A /UI2/BAE3E98A3CD7C075FA8ADAC5139 07 /UI2/PB_EDM_PAGE_SET 3C3F786D6C2076657273696F6E3D22312E30223F3E3C436F6D706F6E656E74204E616D653D222F5549322F50425F45444D5F504147455F5345542220436F6E66

    in table WDY_CONF_USER.

Still, I admit, I have no idea where this entry could come from. If you have any idea I would be very thankful.

If i knew something new i tell you here.

    Kind regards,

    Tobias

    Hi Tobias

Is this on-premise or on SAP Cloud Platform. If on-premise make sure you have assigned the FRONT END roles to your userid. If you are assigned the security roles check they are actually ACTIVE!!! Standard out of the box SAP security roles for FIORI roles are NOT activated or generated by default. You need to generate them - only then will they be active.

Try this and see how you go.

NOTE: When no tiles are displayed the user does NOT have the access.

    Thanks & Regards

    • Hey Tobias

SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW assignments can still cover up the actual problem as the profiles/roles themselves that would be included in these roles are NOT activated. The SAP standard delivered security roles for the Fiori apps are NOT activated by default so you need to do this yourself via transaction PFCG. Go into the role and hit the Generate button. You can then allocate to the users then perform a user comparison. Your security team should be able to help you with this if you can identify the security role you need.

Tiles not showing on the FLP are firmly roles in the Front end server that are not assigned so start there.

      Thanks & Regards

      Phil
