In SAP B1 Are you able to reopen manually closed PO? Reopen Doc. function

Hi,
I am trying to reopen a manually closed PO using the "Reopen Doc. by Creating Returns/Goods Returns/Credit Memos Based on It" function. The system is not allowing me to connect a Credit Memo to the Closed PO. The function was activated before the PO was created so I'm not sure what we are doing wrong. I also can't find any guides for creating Credit Memo's in B1. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hi,

1. It is not possible copy PO to AP Credit memo even PO status is open. Credit memo is used to adjust AP Invoice document not for PO.

2. Once PO closed manually without any target document like GRPO or AP Invoice, it is not possible to open using Reopen doc option.

3. For creating Credit memo SAP help file.

Thankyou for your response.

AP Invoices have been applied to the PO but the PO was closed as we were not expecting any more invoices. Are we able to reopen the PO to apply new invoices to it? Or does new PO need to be created

I believe you cannot reopen a manually closed PO because because auto close is linked with target documents and manual closing is not linked with any target document it means you do not need that that why you are closing manually.
