Adding custom field to /ERP/SFIN_V01_Q2001

Hi Experts,

We are struggling with extensibility on the embeded BW queries with S4/H. Basically we have created a custom field in the table ACDOCA, we now want to reflect this field in our data flow so the relevant Cubes below /ERP/SFIN_M01 multiprovider contain the additional data thus making it available for reporting.

I have created a custom info object via Eclipse and added this to the cube /ERP/SFIN_V01 however i can not see how the field from the table is mapped to the custom object?

Or is there a better way to do this, I have found a lot on updating Fiori apps but this is an embedded BW query from my understanding and i can not find an underlying CDS view which suggest it may be modelled possibly via HANA views?

Hi,

just for an update i have found the custom object in my projection (which in fact is a CDS view) i can preview the data correctly with my custom field, however i can not add this to the BW cube or the query. How are the HANA views mapped to the BW objects? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sorry Marcelo one question though how are the HANA views consumed or converted into the BW cubes? Is there a physical mapping similary to transformations or are HANA views simply generating the cubes therefore the cubes will inherit the new fields once i propagate it to the semantics node?

Hi Marcelo,

Thank you this was my suspicions, i will give this a look. I think the SAP approach that all S4 reporting is covered by CDS views is miss-leading some what if this proves correct.

Hi Bal,

This Multiprovider is made up of Cubes /ERP/SFIN_V01, /ERP/SFIN_V01, /ERP/SFIN_R01. They are all fed by Hana Views. To add your custom field you will have to map this field in the Views and then in the cubes, to put in the query.
