Quantity from transaction is different from Inventory Reports

Dear Experts,

A GRPO was created for ITEM1 with the quantity of 500, however the Inventory Audit Report and Inventory Posting Report shows 600.

I checked the GRPO to see if there is another line for ITEM1 amounting to 100, but three is non. I run a query to confirm this and there is indeed only one line for ITEM1 in the the GRPO and the quantity is 500.

How do we resolve this to show the correct quantity of 500?

Hi,

Have you checked SAP Note 999124 & 1980322?

There are detect queries in both the SAP Note. Check if the result from the query gives you the affected item. Also, check if the scenario is similar to your case.

Hi Jitin,

Running the query from SAP Note 1980322 detected the transaction with inconsistent quantity. I will report this now to SAP. Thank you.

Hi Kristine,

Please run the Inventory Audit Report with result by item, for this item only, with all warehouses and accounts, and with a date range that is large enough that it will include any and all transactions ever made for this item.

Then please expand the result, and check if the stock balance is correct. If so, please check the transaction with the 600 pcs from the report, and confirm that the document behind the yellow drill down arrow has indeed 500 pcs only.

If this is the case, please contact your SAP Partner, as you may need to perform restore tasks, or your system may need a larger fix.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have done the above and clicking on the yellow arrow points to the GRPO and confirms that the correct quantity is only 500.
