Service PO: Intangible good that is the subject of business activity and that can be performed internally or procured externally (outsourced).

- Services are regarded as being consumed at the time of their performance. They cannot be stored or transported.

- Examples of services include construction work, janitorial/cleaning services, and legal services.

Steps involved in Service PO:

1. Define Organizational Status for Service Categories, in IMG - MM - External Services Management.

2. Define Service Category, Enter Service Category, Org. Service Category, External Number Assignment

Without Validation, Acct. Category Reference & Service Category Description.

3. Define Number Ranges for Service Category.

4. Create Service Master Record (AC03), SAP Menu u2013 Logistics u2013 MM u2013 Service Master, Enter Service Category,

Base unit of measure, Mat/srv.grp (007 u2013 Service), Division, Valuation class u2013 3200 & Service type.

5. Create Service PO with Acct. Assignment u2013 Cost Center (K), Item Category u2013 D, Material Short Text, Mat. Group, Plant, Entry for Services in Item Level i.e. Service No., Quantity & Gross Price u2013 Save.

6. Maintain Service Entry Sheet u2013 ML81N in SAP Menu u2013 Logistics u2013 MM choose PO in ML81N edit and save.

7. Then do MIRO from PO reference u2013 Service Entry sheet.

8. Collective Release of Service Entry Sheet u2013 ML85

Organizational Status for Service Category: The organization status indicates the areas in which service master records are used.

Service Category: The service category is the most important criterion for structuring service master records. It provides a default value for the valuation classes. Service master records can be assigned to number ranges on the basis of the service category.

1. what is Service Entry Sheet?

We create service entry sheet using trax ML81n to notify actually services performed by the service provider in our premises or outside in terms of qty and values.

2. why do we make Service Entry Sheet

We create service entry sheet using trax ML81n to notify actually services performed by the service provider in our premises or outside in terms of qty and values. Apart from that we can create a servce PO which will have an tentative qty and value of service perform by the vendor, but later to record the actuals we need to create service entry sheet.

3. for which type of Documents we makes Service Entry Sheet

Po documnets with item category D "service items" we make service entry sheet apart from that the service need to be record the acc entries against an cost centre or assets.

Note: After accepting the service enrty sheet into the system you will have to save it, that further psot an documnet with movement type 101 that also take care of acc entries.

hi,

Service entry sheet is nothing but the GR doc. sheet...instead of the material we maintain the services which are performed and for which we need to pay to the vendor in MIRO...

the service entry sheet is made when you procure for the services....

You can see those services in the service master record AC03

for eg ...if there is any machine in the maintenece, but you don't know wht is the exact work....how much time it will take...how severe is the work...and how much you will be req. to pay for it....

SO for this you provide the value limit...and based on it only the service entry sheet is filled for the req. value limit...

It can made for all those where we can provide the value limit...

For eg :Contract

Purchase requisition

No scheduling agreement because there is no value limit...

Hi,

Service entry sheet is for the services done by the Vendor on your material or a machine or any services ( for eg -- Floor cleaning/Wall painting/cleaning etc)

You can create the Service contract, but for that Service contract you need to create a release orders nothing but Purchase orders. So based on this Service purchase orders you can do the Service entry sheet in ML81N.

Instead of GR for material you will do service entry sheet, so after acceptance of Service entry sheet in the background GR will be created for that.
