File Transfers

Hi All,

If any body knows how to delete a line separator from incoming file programatically please send that code asap.

Actually the case is like this....

When I am moving file data to internal table , after end of every line a line separator is including in to the last filed of the record, which becomes invalid data due to this line separator

( '#' ) so I have to delete that # programatically .

Thanks,

    Hi,

If your file is generated on Windows platform it will have CRLF as end of line character and if it is generated in UNIX platform it will have LF as end of line character. Use attributes "CR_LF" and "NEWLINE" of class CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES for windows and Unix platform ( Your R/3 platform) respectively to get the end of line character and then use Command SPLIT AT to get rid of it.

    Hope this helps.

    Rudra
