Inventory Management issue

Hello Experts -

I'm working on Inventory Management in BI 7.0.

I have a DSO which is using 2lis_03_bf extractor. I did the initialization and then loaded the DSO and then loaded a cube which was then compressed.

I compressed two times: once with the "No Marker Update" checked and after re-loading the cube, did the compression second time with the above option not checked.

But my data is still wrong.

I followed the pdf file of "How to Handle Inventory Management". I read that I don't need the 2lis_03_bx. In that case, the initial stock will be 0. Also, I don't need the 2lis_03_um either.

All material movements are in BW. The data is about 1 year old.

Also, this worked in our quality environment and I moved everything to production and now its not working in production.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi Syed,

Why do you not need the opening stock if you've already have movement for about 1 year?

    Hi Syed,

If you are not using BX, then there is no need to laod and compress data twice from BF. Do the init load with BF, compress it with updating the marker and continue loading deltas.

      Thanks everyone for your responses.

I read the document "How to manage inventory management" and it says that if I'm bringing in all material movements, then I don't need the 2LIS_03_BX.

Also, I thought I don't need the UM either because thats based on valuations. And I'm not using 2LIS_03_UM on BW side...I don't have any transformations, info packages nothing to bring the UM data. And I verified it by re-loading the whole thing in Q environment. I only initialized 2lis_03_bf and nothing else and my data ties out.

And I think the main cause of my issue is that something was wrong with the init. I'm not seeing all material documents in RSA3. So I'm going to try to re-init and see if that solves my issue.

If someone can think of something, please don't hesitate to respond.

I really appreciate your help. Thanks!
