Hello,

I am using Filter Panel with multiple dimensions, to filter on my charts.

In filter panel I have null Values for some dimensions, displayed as :

Not Assigned(text) -- #(Key).

If I apply filter on them it is not getting applied(and filter is also removed automatically)

for other values filter is working.

I am using Design Studio1.6 SP2 Patch1

Are you connecting to hana using universe / olap connection or you are directly building the dashboard on hana platform ?

Hi,

I am using SAP HANA Calculation View as a data source in Design Studio,

We use connection in Design studio to use hana CV's but I am not sure what connection it is!

Hi,I have tested in Design Studio1.6 SP2 this works ok for me, can you give more details like, during the starp up of your dashboard are you using any filters or prompts to display your data by default?

I also tried creating a dummy report with no other script, with only 2 identical datasources DS_1& DS_2.

I used DS_1 in Filter panel and took DS_2 in target datasource,

And used DS_2 on an infochart.

For all the values of a dimension in filter panel it is working, but for Null(#) it is not even getting applied.

I am using this version :

Release 1.6 SP2 Patch1 .

Hi again,

I have replicated and it works fine with me with not assigned filters on DS_1 & DS_2 target data source attached to chart.

Whatever the filter you are trying to set on null value, can you mark that dimension as only with posted value and can you try?

if not please put some screenshots.

Hi Sarthak,

Could you please provide us some screenshot?

If you do filter directly in DataSource (in background filter) can you see the result?

Yes in edit initial View I am able to put a background filter for null values and its working, but if we apply the same from filter panel it is not working.
