ITAR Direct Table Deletes

Hi all,

We have US defined ITAR materials and need to have a test system that does not have any reference to ITAR material masters, BOM's, Routers, Deliveries, Production orders, etc. Standard SAP archiving allows deletion of everything except material masters that have data in the SIS (Sales info Sys).

My questions are:

1 - Is it possible to delete material masters directly from the SAP tables? (We have in-house ABAPers)

2 - Will this action cause serious problems in the database?

Any advice or guidance is much appreciated.

Hi,

Technically it is possible but you will invalidate your SAP support agreement. So I would not recommend deleting directly from tables in the SAP namespace. You'll are likely to miss tables that reference the material data with unpredictable results.
