SAP license will be installed after of course.

If yes, any references/documentations? Thank you.

Hi Mike,

You cannot clone an instance using CAL however, if you have the license for SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) Enterprise Edition - it provides the functionality to clone/copy/refresh SAP systems deployed in the cloud (deployed either via CAL or, other means).

Currently, LaMa supports this functionality for AWS and Azure.

Here are the links to SAP LaMa product/community pages to get more information - of course, I can help you as well in case you need more info.

Hope this helps.

Hi Julius,

Just an FYI.

This functionality is available with one of our other products called "SAP Landscape Management (aka SAP LaMa).

With SAP LaMa, we provide cloud adapter for Microsoft Azure to manage & provision SAP systems deployed in the Azure cloud (start/stop/monitor/relocate/clone/copy/refresh and so on...).

Hi Ardash, does this mean that you can

a) activate an S/4HANA appliance in CAL

b) clone the instance to make a new dev/test environment?

I mean, I'm not expecting to - but if I could clone CAL and use that as a jump start to building my own S/4HANA instance - then everyone would be doing it right?

Regards

Mike
