SAPGui Installation Server - How to track who has new GUI?

I am evaluating the new SAPGui Installation Server, as described in the SAP Front End Installation Guide, Release 710 Compilation 2. We now have (3) companies, each of which uses a different oem package to push new GUIs out to user PCs. We want to upgrade everyone (in all 3 companies) from a 6.40 Gui to a 7.10 Gui, and are trying to evaluate the best way to do this.

Given the fact that the Installation server cannot push out a Gui, how do you track the users who have received the new Gui?

Hm, you can check this from t-code SM04 (if one server) or SM51 and after on all servers.

SM04 --> Change layout (CTRL+F8) --> Gui version add in Displayed Columns , after you will see all GUIs.

SM51 --> select server --> User (CtrlShiftF7) after as above.

If you install the package on some PC, before installin sapsetup checks are this GUI installed or not(are the present package installed,are all components from package installed), and if it are installed finished installation.
