MSS Error - Personnel number not yet assigned

Hi Experts,

We are getting following error on MSS once we click on any services under Team, UWL Link. We have checked employee no. is assigned to the user in Back end and employee is the manager of organization unit.

Critical Error

A critical error has occured. Processing of the service had to be terminated. Unsaved data has been lost.

Please contact your system administrator.

Personnel number not yet assigned

com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.java.FPMRuntimeException: Personnel number not yet assigned

at com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.java.MessageManager.raiseException(MessageManager.java:112)

at com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.java.MessageManager.raiseException(MessageManager.java:122)

Would really appreciate kind guidance to resolve this issue.

Issue resolved. There was issue with login id on portal.

Hello,

Can you please advise what was wrong with the login id? We have one user experiencing this issue, but can't determine the cause. She has all the necessary rights and does have a personnel number assigned.

Appreciate any assistance.

Hi Jack,

Following was the problem in my case.

-


I have assinged portal id (Aashish) to employee no.15 on SAP (Infotype 105 - ST 0001). Through ESS, I have entered leave request to the manager.

After that we have assigned same porta id (Aashish) to another employee no. 19 without approving data on MSS for employee no.15

So when we tried to approve data on MSS after that, it was giving error for personnel number not assigned.

I would suggest do all the approval on CATS_APPR_LITE and after that try to create new record through ESS. It should work after that.
