PR release strategy agent assignment

Dear experts,

The Situation: Using Overall PR release with classification I came across the step of Agent assignment to release codes. It has 5 Level of approvals. We have a legacy list of 60 approvers with different values (between the 5 levels) and around 500+ users who use PR to place a request.

The question: How do you think the user assignment through USER ID is maintained in workflow customizing through release with classification. (I know where to assign) But how can we assign all These User IDs?

Should all users be assigned in the table?or only the approvers?

How will the System automate finding the right approver from PR creator? Through Org.Structure?

Note: We also have organization structure in place

I heard that using Org. Structure in Agent assignment Needs further customizing.

Appreciate your reponse.

Thank you

You use custom table with your all agents and use the exit EXIT_SAPLEBNF_001 to use your custom logic to populate Resposible agent.

    Thanks .

      Appreciate the Response

The custom table for maintaining all users?

So the logic is whoever is maintained here only can create a PR?

Approvals in PR is based on release strategy defined ( check T16F* tables). You may assign mulitple approvers to same release code ( you can enter userid/position/employee number based on your requirement).

    • Which error do you get, please tell the message number.

It would also be good if you posted a screenshot from your release strategy customizing, from the release code step and from the workflow step of the customizing task

In the workflow step you can assign a single user or even a complete organisation which is defined with numerous users through the PPOCE or PPOME transaction .
