Fiori Search with multiple backends

We have configured Fiori Search for our ERP on HANA application. Seems to work fine when testing with ESH_SEARCH. But we have a separate Gateway System and another CRM system that also should support Fiori Search. So the Fiori Launchpad is not connecting directly to ERP and Fiori Search from the Fiori Launchpad does not work yet.

How to configure Fiori Search in the Gateway system, to connect properly to the ERP data?

The following online help seems a good starting point, but it is unclear how to configure this properly:

Enabling SAP Fiori Search for Multiple Systems (Optional)

Can someone explain the 2nd step in more detail?

Best regards, Toine

Hi Toine!

For Fiori it should be sufficient with the task list execution. You can do a double check.

Try with the role SAP_ESH_LOCAL_ADMIN and activate de Businnes Functions BSESH_HANA_SEARCH and BSCBN_HANA_NAV (PFCG & SFW5 trx)

Then, First run the task SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_000_CLIENT (here specify the clients used for the search, obviously run the task in the backend client 000)

And run again SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT (try using the SAP HANA Primary DB Connection: "DEFAULT", is preferred and Maintain the Software Component and its models to create connectors, for Customer environment, conectors are required to be generated for all the models under SAPAPPLH).

Now, what are you trying to search in the Fiori Search? a document (purchase order, requisition, invoice), an app?

Are you using a SAP WebDispatcher?(it is necessary for Factsheets)

Regards!

Hi,

the connectors already exist. They are created on the ERP Hana DB via the ESH cockpit. That went fine.

Yes, we have set the webdispatcher. But we have not only an ERP system, but also CRM.

Now we search for example a customer. The search request does not know where to search: ERP or CRM? How to configure the webdispatcher backend system? (when I set it to ERP, it will never search on CRM)

So currently it was set to Gateway, but on gateway there are no search connectors. I think, Gateway should forward the request to all the connected backends somehow.

Rest regards, Toine
