It would be very helpful to give more context to your question. In the moment I can only guess that you use some version of eclipse and you want to connect to the HANA database on SCP.

Hi Lucho,

can you please provide couple of screenshots from eclipse how exactly you are proceeding (in which wizard), what are the exact error reproduction steps, etc ?

Thanks,

Ervin

Hi Lucho,

It seems to me that you are trying to add a HANA system on your Eclipse IDE.

The error: "Connection to host 'hanatrial.ondemand.com' failed" tells me that you have tried to add your Hana Trial Account and while Eclipse tried to connect to that account and retrieve the available schema IDs it failed. It is either to an invalid connection to the internet or due to outdated Eclipse Plugins.

If that's the case, I suggest:

1) Check that your Eclipse is able to connect to the internet. Make sure you are not behind a firewall or if that's true that you have configured a proxy server to enable your Eclipse to communicate with the internet.

2) Make sure your HANA Plugins are updated (menu = Help -> Check for Updates).

If not, please give the community more context to the mentioned error - it is very hard to understand what the issue is just by looking at Java Exceptions.

Regards,
Ivan
