Hi I have an asset AuC (asset under construction) that I want to distribute to an Asset AIAB in a company code that has not got Cost Accounting activated. System shows me the following error:
Cost accounting is not active in company code XXXX Message no. KI205
does anybody knows if it is mandatory to activate cost accounting in order to have AuC distribution to AF in SAP? I did not expect that...
thanks in advance.
Rafa
Hi Rafa,
Normal I expect that it should be working without controlling, but a settlment rule is controlling and not FI. I think that this is the reason that it is not working. I think you use only balance sheet accounts and don't do a transfer from an other company code.

Solved SAP Note Note 36768 - AIBU: Sttmnt AuC -> Er.mssg KD522 / KD523 / KI205
If message KI205 is already displayed when distributing the line items in transaction AIAB, please check whether the company code is assigned to a valid controlling area (using transaction OKKP). In this connection, please note that a controlling area must be created in CO customizing for AuC capitalization using transaction AIBU since AuC settlement program-internally uses CO settlement (among other things when updating the internal settlement documents). No components need to be activated for this controlling area, however.
