Maintain Number Ranges for CO Documents

Hello,

I'm encountering the error message below when posting from FI.

However, when I go to SPRO >> Controlling >> General Controlling >> Organization >> Maintain Number Ranges for CO Documents, I cannot find the Add Interval button.

How do I add and assign number ranges to CO business transactions?

-

"CO-doc. number assignment not possible for bus.trans. COIN in CO area VG01 (Message no. KC101)

Diagnosis

In controlling area VG01, business transaction COIN has not been assigned to a number range.

System Response

CO document numbers cannot be issued.

Procedure

Maintain the number range for CO documents in controlling area VG01. Then in the implementation guide (IMG), choose Controlling -> General Controlling -> Organization -> Maintain Number Ranges for CO Documents.

Assign business transaction COIN to a number range group. If required, create a new number range group."

    Hi

    Goto TCode KANK

    Enter your controlling area

    Select Groups button

    Put the cursor on COIN

    Press F2

Select the check box to where you want to put to COIN

    Press F5

    Click on Maintain Icon

Select Interval Icon and enter No ranges.

    Cheers

Hi, Thanks for your suggestion. But I didn't have any groups created yet. So I tried to "Insert" a group and the number range window appeared.

      Problem solved already.

      Thanks again!

    Hi!

Go for Transaction KANK and enter your Co. Area 1001.

Then click on Change Group icon in that screen and you will find all required transactions for primary and secondary postings.

From that choose COIN and assign it to your group of CO area there.

You can assign there number ranges for COIN transaction itself for your respective CO area.

Hope it will clear to you. Pls get back for further query.

    Thanks & Regards,
