System Copy - Out of Domain

Hi,

Some of our old dev IDES SAP servers are taken down from the Domain because of security reasons. We are working on taking the backup / export of that system and import it in a new server which is in Domain. But as the old server is already out of domain, the system doesn't showup in SAP MMC to start the export using SWPM tool.

Can anyone tell what activities to be performed in old server to make it available in MMC and start the server to run the export ?

Hello Narsh,

If the server runs on Windows, confirm that the services ("services.msc") called "SAPSID_XX" (SID = system ID; XX = instance number) are started.

If they run on Linux/UNIX and you are opening the SAP MMC at your own desktop, you would have to add the systems to the SAP MMC some how (for example, manually adding them by right clicking at "SAP Systems", then "properties", then "Fixed" tab).
