lock Storage Location

i have doubt storage location.

can i lock storage location so that no one can not change it during order confirmation.

Dear,

You can maintain Str location in material master MRP 2 view, Bill of material item details and Production Version - Issue and receiving str location.

If you wanted to syetem to propose sloc when youe doing MB1A,

check the Parameter ID.( Press F1, then go for technical data, check for Parameter ID) for this it is LAG.

Go to SU01 of the that perticular User, and in parameters give LAG and value as storage location you want to give.

The system proposes this Sloc in that transaction.

Or,

You can maintain storage bin field in material master --> plant data strg 1 view

This storage bin is only significant if you do not use SAP warehouse management. It appears on goods receipt/issue slips.

Hi,

There is no activity which can lock the Storage location in order confirmation.

You can default the storage location in Material master MRP view, so that same will be default for all your Planned order, production order etc....

If you want to control this you can create the Screen variant in SHD0 transaction so that for the Order confirmation you can display the storage location which will default from the Planned order -- Production order

Take an help of ABAPer to do the Screen variant in SHD0

Hi,

If u want to give the default storage location at the time of confirmation.

GO in MM02 > Work scheduling view.> maintain production storage location.

so system will take default storage locations at the time of auto goods reciept

and for raw materials maintain it in BOM CS02 item details screen.>status / long text > update there storage location..

after that when u r going to confirmation system will take default storage locations.

I think this will help u.
