Hi Experts,
What is the 'Planned order' quantity in the transaction COR3(Process order display) ? This is available in the tab 'Dates/Qtys' for a process order.
How is this quantity different from the 'Total Quantity' displayed in the tab 'General Data' for a process order in the tcode COR3?.
Thanks in Advance,
Shilpa
Dear,
Do the following Checks for planned order quantity less than the total quantity
Any Assembly Scrap is maintain in Material Master MRP 1 view.
Maximum Lot size limit maintain in MRP 1 View.
Safety Stock if Maintain.
Available stock at the time of MRP run and current Stock Requirement List (MD04) from where system calculate the net requirement qty during MRP.
PLAF is table for planned order quantity but when you convert planned order to production order it will get deleted.
As per the process order or plan order qty system finds the nearest availabl production version (In case of Automatic selection of production version) and as per selected production version related Master Recipe and BOM are assign to the Process orders.
But actual meaning is that process order qty decides the selection of production verison and simillerly production version decides which BOM and Master Recipe are assign to the Process order.
Hope it will clear your querry.

Hi,
If you create a process order using planned orders (MD04: convert planned order into process order), you see the planned order qty in your process order. The total qty is the qty you actually produce through this process order.
If you create a process order using tr COR1, the planned order qty will be 0.

Suzy

Hi Suzy,
Thanks for your answer. I can see that the planned order quantity & the total quantity are the same for most of the process orders in our production system. But for some , the planned orery quantity is less than the total quantity... What does this mean and why is the planned order qty less than the total qty?.
If you can give me the table name that has the planned order qty, it will be useful. Points will be assigned.
Thanks in advance.
Shilpa
Hi,
Table containing planned order qty is PLAF.
Planned order qty is determined during an MRP run. When converting the planned order into a process order, the total qty = planned order qty. At our company, when the total qty is higher than the planned order qty, this is changed manually in the process order.

Suzy
