COPC - Costing Run with old Subcon Price in PIR

Dear all experts,

We have a SFG "A" which is a subcon material. BOM of "A" has a component "B" with Standard Price $100/100pcs and A is assigned to an existing FG "X".

B > A ($10) > X

"A" has a Standard Price of $110 posted in January with subcon rate $10/100pcs derived from PIR (purchase info record).

System's behaviour: B > A ($12) > Y

In February we have a new FG "Y" which has A as one of its components. The subcon rate is now $12 and Costing Run will capture this rate to be part of the Standard Costs of "Y". However the requirement is "Y" should be having old subcon rate of $10 instead of the new rate of $12.

Target to achieve: B > A ($10) > Y

To achieve this, user will have to change the condition price in its PIR to the old rate, run Costing Run, and revert the price to the new rate. The entire process can be tedious and the procurement process can be affected considering the frequency of having new FG with "A" is high too.

Is there any way we can have 2 subcon rate maintained in PIR, one for the procurement, and the other one for the costing? Similar like the Costing BOM concept.

OR

Is there any standard way we can tell the system to retain the old PIR rate during Costing Run instead of using the COPC enhancement?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Sebastian
