Hello Experts,

Can we use the XS Advanced Migration Assistant to migrate XS Classic objects from HANA DB which is hosted on SCP Neo. I have the delivery unit ready after manually converting all the objects to HDI supported objects( eq: attribute view to Calculation view ).

I am following the guide below

https://help.sap.com/viewer/58d81eb4c9bc4899ba972c9fe7a1a115/2.0.01/en-US/2aa5aa246a704e199cd06ca5c84d1155.html

However, I am not sure if this applies to the Cloud HANA DB. Could any one please clarify?

What value should I set for the parameters like HANA_HOST?

I have downloaded and extracted the XS Advanced Migration Assistant Package on my local computer.

Thanks in advance,

Ajith

Hi Ajith,

Technically, your HANA DB on Neo is the same as a local instance of HANA. The exception are related to those configurations that require direct SO access to perform. Other than that, you are able to access the HANA system on the Cloud the same way as you access it locally (jdbc:sap://localhost:3001) via Eclipse. All you have to do it to open a tunnel to your DB and connect to it via a local port from your computer. You can achieve this by either: neo command line:

neo open-db-tunnel -h <host>-u <user>-a <subaccount>--id<schema ID>

Or you can do the same with SAP Cloud Connector. There is this blog that explains how you can use this web application to open a tunnel to your database with a lot of knowledge about neo's command line.

Regards,
Ivan

Thank you very much Ivan!!

I used the SCC Service Channel to connect to the HANA DB in Neo.
