Apply Filter on a measure variable SAP BO

Former Member

Hi all,

I'm trying to apply a filter on a measure variable and it doesn't work, not even applying Sort or Ranking. This variable was created based on the results of "original" measures. Do you know how can I solve this?

I'm using SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 6 Patch 3

Version: 14.1.6.1805.

Thanks!

Rather than filter on a measure, you could create a variable that returns 1 or 0

then rank on the top 1 value of the variable to return all rows equal to 1

try to create dimension variable and see or share the screen shots of your issue

When I change this variable to a "dimension" and I try to apply a filter with the option "in list", for instance, the list doesn't have all the values that the variable has.

Drag this variable in the table and see if you are getting Yes/No values in the rows?

Type the value "Yes" in the type a value block in the filter and drag other side. see if it will work

it's difficultly to say..might be some measure objects are with delegated measures type in BEx. instead of "Yes" or "No" use 1 or 0 in the formula and try.

All in all, can I apply a filter on a measure? :S

Someone told me that the problem can be caused by the fact that these numbers are not all in the same unit in the database (some are in kg, others in m and others in un), is that true? If yes, how can I overtake this problem?
