Iview Portal favorites doesn't work in FPN with BI producer

Hello,

We have implementing recently federated portal, with SRM content in consumer and BI portal as producer.

The problem is when we whould like to save BI report in favorites portal, that doesn't work locally (Consumer) but it was been registred in favorites (iview) of BI portal (producer).

So we have called in RDL (remote delta link) the BI iview portal favorites from producer to consumer : we can now save and see Report in favorites (in consumer) but we can't execute it and that's display this error :

iView not found: com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher.

Exception id: 03:47_26/09/08_0004_82400750

See the details for the exception ID in the log file

This means that the report saved in favorites try to be executed locally and he don't found composant ?

have you please solution to display and execute correctly favorites when we work in FPN with a report in RDL ?

Thanks a lot for help

Has anyone seen any new information on this? The described behavior makes the BI query "save" function completely useless in the context of an FPN consumer portal.

Note 1149597 is very little help as near as I can tell. We tested the "fix" in a DEV environment, and while it technically "resolves" the problem with where the favorites get saved, we end up with all of our BI content actually being "published" to the consumer by the BEx tools. This sort of defeats the purpose of implementing an FPN in the first place, even if the requests are redirected back to the producer by the recommended BEx iView mods.

We have implemented a work-around by creating a RDL in our consumer portal to the producer portal's standard "Portal Favorites" iView. However, we're not happy with this solution as we end up with multiple "favorites" areas in our central consumer portal (one for remote BI content and another for "local" favorites). We also don't want to maintain the favorties that get saved to the producer portal.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

But, before doing any action, we would like to know if solution in note 880482, means that :

- when we deactivate KM in producer, and only KM consumer still activated, we will be able to display and execute favorites registered from RDL iwiew ?

- in other words, favorites of remotes reports will be saved in the portal favorites iview of consumer and will be executed locally without error ?

Thanks a lot for more presicions, because the note it's not so explicit.
