Legal Control for Iran: item control only for one country

Hi All,

we want to set up a legal control IRAN, that should control the export for items from DE to IRAN. Therefore we activated in customizing

1. activate legal regulations: country level: DE export 4

and for DE also country/ country: IR export 4.

2. Control settings for LC: flag for check all partner functions in partner group and document

Unfortunately, after transferring a document with one partner in Iran, in the log for the legal regulation Iran every partner function is blocked, although only the WE is in Iran.

So my question would be, is it possible to set up a legal control that blocks the export of a controlled product only for on country of destination. I think the problem could be the customizing activate legal regulations: country level: DE export 4. this seems to overrule the customizing on country/ country level. But deactivating the country level results in no block at all.

Thanks and best regards,

Carsten

Hi Mouaz,

we want to assign the license manually, so license determination is not relevant.

Concerning the define determination procedure we use A. If I change to A the result stys the same. And we have ALRG02 strategy set up on 2nd position afer country/ countrygroup. I also set up a country group for testing but still every partner is blocked in the legal control and not just the partner from Iran.

Thanks for your help,

Carsten

Hi Carsten,

I am sorry, but I am stil struggling with this part of your question: "every partner is blocked in the legal control".

Legal Control does not "block" partner as far as I know. It rather uses the partners and/or partners functions as "check" elements to match with the Sales/Purchase document being checked by Legal Control.

May be it is easier if you could share a complete screen shot of the Compliance Log, opening all folders so we can see what's happening from the Log and if you could highlight which part is bothering you in the log.

Regards.

Hi Carsten,

Further to my previous comment, SAP has released following KBA which may help you:

KBA 2646775 - KBA:- License determination for partners from different countries.

Hi Carsten,

I am sorry, but your question is not very clear. I will try to make some assumptions to help you here.

If you would like to make sure that you have a license for the ship-to and only for that ship-to, then you should flag the field "Partner Function" in the "Objects to be checked" section in the License Type customizing.

If you legal regulation is being activated for more than the country of the ship-to, you need to check the following 2 things:

- Check the Define Determination Procedure for Active Legal Regulations: Check if the determination rule is blank = Determination using first sucessful strategy or is A = Determination using all strategies. Should be blank for your case.

- Still in the Define Determination Procedure for Active Legal Regulations: make sure you have the country to country determination strategy setup (ALRG02 determination strategy)

Regards.
