Bug: Most-Liked Blogs thinks 6 is greater than 8 !?

The front-page currently displays (recent) most-liked blogs.

Question is: why is there a 6-Likes-Blog, while a 8-likes blog is not?

I think this screenshot shows the problem:

Wild guessing: Are Facebook-shares also factored in somehow?

But that also wouldn’t fully explain it:

So it’s probably some evil conspiracy, right?! Or a punishment for vanity? 😉

Hi, Joachim:

I was actually already doing some investigating into likes and the home page after I saw your Coffee Corner conversation.

Let me check some more.

This occured to me only after posting: maybe it's not comparing total likes but only likes given in the last [timeframe] ?

Yes, Jurgen is correct. It's currently set to display most liked over the last 7 days.

Hey Catherine,

thanks for clarifying!

(Small note: while it makes total sense to have it work like that, there's no easy way for the public to verify that the system works correct (as we only see total likes, not when they were given...)).

I doubt that this works based on total likes, as this would mean that new blogs would not have a chance to get there until they have more likes than the older blogs.

So there must be timing involved, likes in certain period, maybe the last 24 hours
