I got the request to set up a process to maintain the financial statement version in MDG 7.0. The uploading of data and the maintenance of FSV via entity types FRS and FRSI works fine.
The issue is the replication to ECC. For accounts, profit center, cost center and cost center hierarchy this is done via Idoc. This works fine.
But for financial accounting reporting structure there is no Idoc option.
SOA isn't set up so far and we don't want to change all other repolications to SOA, too.
But as far as I have read an article from Michael Theis, he has advised not to mix up Idoc and SOA.
Does anybody have a way how to solve the replication of FSV with Idocs?
Hi Logan,
sorry for the late feedback.
Thanks for this link. The topic was postponed at customer side and I was blocked by other issues. I will try this solution.

Hi Markus,
Follow the guide if you really wanted to do it via ALE,
https://www.g3g.com/blog/sap-netweaver/extending-sap-ale
My advise would be to go with what SAP provided considering future enhancements or change from SAP.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Logan,
thanks for your response.
My hope was (and is) that there is a way to handle all replications in the same way. And because other parts are active now for two years with Idoc replication my suggestion was to do it for FSV in the same way.

Markus

Hi Markus,
Web services are delivered as part of the design to replicate FSV. Replication capabilities should have been planned in the project start.
You can use web services for missing idoc replication mechanisms. I dont see any problems.
