MRP Deleting Storage Location Reservation over Manual reservation

Hi ,

I am doing planning at storage location AD02 for a Material and have another storage location as AD01 under plant ABCD.

In MRP 1 , MRP Type = V1 , ROP = 5 , Lot Size = HB and Max. Rep. = 15.

In MRP 4 view, I have Reorder Point planning = 5 and Replenishment Qty = 10 for AD02 Sloc.

Let us assume :

Current Stock Plant = 0

AD02 Stock = 0

After MRP run,

I am getting Stock Transfer Material Reservation no. (Say 10001) from AD02 of qty = 10 and

Procurement proposal = 25. (Reservation + Max. replenishment qty).

This MRP results are fine.

Now I created manually reservation (With MB21) no. (Say 10002) of qty. = 8. on Storage location AD02 and re-run the MRP.

Result : (not able to understand)

MRP has deleted the Stock Transfer reservation no. (10001) and result will have only

stock transfer reservation no(1002) with qty = 8 only.

Procurement proposal qty = 15

Why MRP deleting stock transfer reservation created by first MRP run and keeping only on reservation no. (10002) ???

Thanks,

Are you really talking about reservation or do you mix this term with requisition?

Hello Jurgen and Dhiraj

MRP can create stock transfer reservations, depending on the special procurement configuration.

When you create your stock transfer reservation manually, MRP will identify it as a replenishment proposal and, since it is enough to cover the reorder point, it will delete the replenishment proposal created in the previous MRP run, as it is no longer necessary.

Hi ,

I have updated my question. Thanks for your input.

MRP has created stock transfer reservation (MRP Element: TrnRes) on AD02.

Against this MRP also created Reservation (MRP element: MtlRes) .

MRP does not create or change reservations.
