SAP License Type PERM

Hi Julie,

I have followed the blog in the following URL to install new license for the NW ABAP 7.52 developer edition. However, the system type remains as PERM after I deleted the existing license and installed the new license. Is there any concern?

Also, when I create a test program via SE38, it does not ask me for developer key. Am I missing anything here?

The new license is a "permanent" license, so everything should be ok.

To your second question: do you have any problems with the developer user or is it more like "Surprise, everything works fine"?

Hi,

Yup. I believe the license type changes from TEMP to PERM, so I think it's okay.

After going through few more blogs and documents, I believe the access key is actually pre-built into the NW AS ABAP 7.52 Developer Edition. So, I guess that's fine too.

I use Eclipse to create ABAP Package as this tutorial https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/abap-dev-create-package.html, after entering package name and desc it requires an access key

Do you know how to pass this step?
