Hi Gurus,

I have a problem with back posting. I had a material doc that created in current period and posted in previous period then it made a PR doc posting. I haven't found that cause. Especially when I checked out all of material doc and calculated, the previous did not have inventory but when I checked in MM03 see the previous period there are inventory while stock is zero in current period. You can see the pic attached.

The experts help me pls!

Thanks and best regards,

Nhipbt.

This does not make much sense and also may create inconsistencies. NEVER do a 711 or 712 posting from transaction MB11. These are automatic movements which are supposed to be triggered only from clearing of physical inventory documents , see OSS note 1557004 - Movement type 712 usw. should not be used in MM-transactions

Please explain what you mean with "PR doc posting" PR is usually used as abbreviation for purchase requisition. Do you mean that?

Tell for which process the material doc was created and from which transaction.

Show your material documents and explain how YOU calculated them? At which dates did you look?

Thanks Jürgen L,

I mean PR doc is the pricing change document when it has MIRO posting date issue in previous period. The invoice posting date is in March then the pricing change between March and April is posting on April 1 -> we call PR doc. (The PR doc may be the called name in our project).

In the summary, Have you ever seen the case like there is inventory in previous period while stock is zero in current period (the pic attached above)?

Help me pls!

Thanks and best regards,

Nhipbt.

I have added the accounting schema of the invoice. My English is not good. Could you understand?

The stock in April is zero when you posted the invoice. But since the invoice was posted with a previous period date it effects the stock in the previous period, see the logic explained in OSS note 402856 - Valuation with posting to previous period

And in March you certainly had stock as the screenshot of MM03 clearly shows.

Your screenshots from S_P00_07000139 seems to be only excerpts. There must be movements in March as well as others in April otherwise it would be an inconsistency and you should open a call at SAP Support for investigation

I sure that all goods issue docs in April corresponding all goods receipt docs this month. The inventory rule in our project is: The goods issue and the goods receipt are at the same time. I think that it may have a hanging doc?

How do I send you the excel file of S_P00_07000139 and the doc list from MB51 in February, March and April? Could I have your email?

Thanks so much!

was there a goods issue in April for period April? this would also explain why the April stock is zero now.

Kindly post screenshots. Make sure you have the entry date and the posting date shown in ALV of MB51

It is probably much better to use transaction S_P00_07000139 for an analysis as it shows each movement and and other events along with the stock situation after the movement as you can see in this screenshot: https://archive.sap.com/image/403386

Hi Jurgen L,

I have added the result of S_P00_07000139. I have already calculate arcording this rule. Stock is zero after each goods issue.

Can you see?

Thanks and regards!

So far it is just a normal and logical situation that you had inventory in the previous period and no inventory in the current period.

We have April 12, and a goods issue done in period 4 will of course only reduce the inventory of the current period.

An inventory posting made in April with a period 3 will effect both, previous and current period.

A bit different is a price change made in April for the previous period March, see the posting logic in KBA 2181776 - Posting price change in previous period

Problem is there's no inventory in the previous period when I list all material docs from MB51, sort by Entry date then calculate inventory by entry date time after each material document.

I think MM03 is inventory at the moment. If there's inventory in period 3, there's no the issue doc from the inventory of period 3 in period 4, why is there no inventory at the moment?

In the Database of SAP-ERP, is there temp data of material document?

Could you show me the special function specification of MM03?
