Asset Cost Center Problem

Dear Sapguru,

User has assigned wrong cost center & now i have to assigned correct one... First Option...If i change in asset master, system ask whether new interval is required or not.

Second Option, I hav to opt for Trf of asset into new asset to calculate dep from 01.04.2008 for new cost center...

Which way is correct way & why or still any other way is ther

Hi,

You simply change the cost center in asset master record and save. Also you repost depreciation from 01.04.08 to till date from wrong cost center to correct cost center through KB11N.

Hi,

Two ways are applicable. I'd suggest just to change the cost centre (without opening a new interval) and recalculate the depreciation or either make an internal posting in CO.
