SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author and Windows 10 compatibility

We recently purchased a standalone license of VEA 8 and installed it on a machine running Windows 10. We have heard that VEA 9 is out now but do not know how to get any information on how to upgrade to it.

Is it true that VEA 9 has been released? (not the viewer but the full product)

We are experiencing some issues that we think may be Windows 10 compatibility issues with VEA 8. Can anyone confirm that there are?

Thank you. I will be formally documenting this through the support link you mentioned, but I wanted to let this thread know we found a workaround to our issue with VEA 8 under Windows 10.

Specifically, our issue was that we could not open .jt files without VEA 8 crashing nor could we manipulate certain .rh files without seeing a bunch of messages relating to "Sandbox".

To remedy, we had to go to Help > Plugin Manager..., choose the Security tab in Plugin Manager, and turn off the "Use Secure Sandbox" option.

A SAP developer who helped us suspects that a recent Windows 10 security update caused this feature to no longer work and plans to address it before Version 9 comes out.

Version 9 is coming out soon but I am not aware of any compatibility issues with Windows 10 and VEA 8. Could you please raise support incident at support.sap.com. Use CA-VE-VEA component and we will investigate.
