Support for MS Office and Open Office

Hi guys,

We have custom ABAP programs that generate output of their report into MS office or Open Office. THese programs will be linked to SAP HTML GUI iviews from Portal. Before we decide which software to use, I need to know how both of them integrates with Portal and if Portal supports both? (we're on EP 7.0 SP15). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
