Customize Portal Content Studio for Delegated Content Admin Scenario

Hi, SDN fellows.

I am working on the Delegated Content Administration scenario.

I assigned the Portal Content Studio iView to a new custom role: BizContentManager.

Now, the BizContentManager able to see the whole root folder of PCD. What I want is that the BizContentManager only able to see the PCD folder where he has been assigned with permission.

Assuming here is the folder hierarchy:

PCD Root--> S&D folder --> SalesRegionA folder (I want the BizContentManager only able to browse from thsi folder in the customized Portal Content Studio)

Questions:

Is that a way I can customize the Portal Content Studio iView so that the root folder start from the Biz Content folder (so that they can only browse their own folder without seeing the whole PCD folder structure)?

Or is that any way I can configure to display the folder only when they have Write/Full permission on the folder?

Thanks for advise,

KC

    KC,

Most of the cases all the folders will have enduser permissions.so obvioulsy all the folders will be visible to all the users.in order to restrict users to access some folders you need to manually remove the enduser permission for those folders and give the permissions to individual users so that they can see folders and dont give permissions to users whom you dont want to show folders

    Thanks

      Hi, Bala.

After I add the Application Designer Framework Page (contains the Portal Catalog Admin iview), and added the Test User with the Full Control on the page and the iview, but the Portal Catalog Admin iview always throws an error and become not displayable. I wish to see the PCD folder structure to test my result.

When I login using the Administrator access, then go to the PCD folder-->Admin Page Template, right click on the Application Designer Framework Page and Preview, it gives me the same error, the Portal Catalog Admin iview (where the PCD folder hierarchy should display) is throwing an error and not displayable.

I don't have the server access to view the error log now.

Not sure you anyone has the same problem before.

      Thanks for advise,

      KC
