WebIde url OData service from HCP XS Odata

Hello everybody,

I've a question regarding WebIde and SAP HANA Cloud Platform.

I have made a database in the Cockpit> Databases & Schemas

after that in the workbench I have made a table and added a few rows.

In there I have setup a package just inside the Content folder with the necessary files like .xsaccess, .xsapp, .xsprivileges, .services.xsodata and user.hdbrole

I have looked at different tutorials on the web to set them up, i think they should be correct.

(Running the services.xsodata works fine and I can view the metadata also.)

I have also setup the destination in the Cockpit for it and when I'm checking for the connection it says "Connection established response 200: OK" so I guess its working fine.

Now, my problem is that when I try to make a project and add a Odata service, I go to the URL Service and select the destination from the Cockpit but when I try to copy/paste the rest of the path where the services.xsodata is located and press Test, after a second it just shows at the top with red letter OK but doesnt show me any content or let me press Next.

I tried with the Northwind sample and its working fine.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Thank you.

Hi Nikolaos,

Could your please attach a screenshot from the wizard in WebIDE where you are pasting the odata service path?

I suspect that you have configured the destination with the wrong set of attributes, so WebIDE "thinks" this is an ABAP OData.

Please post the destination settings as well.

Hello Ivan,

Thank you a lot for taking your time to help me.

I finally managed to do it, the problem was that I have in my .xsaccess wrong JSON format (After I opened it in Eclipse I noticed that when I was trying to activate it(to make sure) it would throw me an error saying about the JSON format, I checked my .xsaccess file re-wrote it and it would finally accept and show to content inside the xsOData! (it was showing the response code 202 : which was displaying the OK because it was working and could find it but not everything was activated so I guess it wouldn't let me get the files).

Thank you again though!

Nikolaos Charatsidis

I am glad you found the solution! Kudos and good luck!
