When will ESR for CE 7.1.1 be available?

This is a question for the moderator or anyone working with the SAP group responsible for the Enterprise Services Repository.

When will the ESR for EHP1 of CE 7.1 be available for download? Will it be available in SDN or in the Service Marketplace?

Can previous releases of ESR (say the one for CE 7.1 SR3 or SR5) be used on top of CE 7.1.1 ? I am apprehensive to do this since I have seen serveral posts in forums which bring out issues when ESR for SR5 of CE7.1 has been installed with CE 7.1.1

It is already there in the sneak preview SDN download version. You need to deploy the additional SCA files available in the folder 'Additional_ESR' in your installation folder.

Hi Velu,

Thanks for the insight. I have installed ESR and run the "Configuration of ESR in CE" and "Initial setup of functional unit SLD" configuration tasks from the Configuration Wizard in NWA.

I am able to log onto ES Builder now.

I want to get all the XI content now. Where can I get that from?

Hi Jesus,

First, copy the three .SCA files from the Additional ESR folder in the sneak peak download.

Paste them in C: -> usr -> sap -> <SAP AS Name> -> SYS -> EPS -> in

Then you need to launch the go.bat file in the C: -> usr->sap-> <SAP AS Name> -> J00 -> j2ee -> JSPM

This will bring up the Software Delivery tool through which you can deploy .sca files.

Select the Software Components option and the wizard will then guide you through the process.
