report SWN_SELSEN not picking up any notification

We have done all the required config in SWNCONFIG and activate the services in SICF. But when we run the report SWN_SELSEN, it is not picking up any notifications. Any clues please why?

Can you tell us what you have looked at to solve this problem yourself? Do you get any error messages? Have you searched for other questions related to SWN_SELSEN?

Yes Susan. We checked log and went through quite a few questions posted here.

Hi Imthiaz,

For similar issue reported by the customers to SAP I would always recommend to check the extended notification carefully according to the attachment in note 1646056 (Workflow QuickStart Guide to Extended Notifications) because 9 out of 10 were caused by missing/improper configuration.

So in your case I would recommend to check:

1. Configuration according to note 1646056. Please read carefully and make sure no configuration is missed.

2. There is a know issue of extended notification which is fixed by note 2308763. Please implement the note if it applies to the SP level of your system.

Thanks Kelly. We will check that. The strange thing is it used to work before. Probably your second suggestion may solve our problem.

Nope. It didn't help us either. Anything else? We are trying to debug and find any other reason for the failure.

Hi Imthiaz,

You may check the application log by SWLG1 -> Object = WF; Subobject = NOTIFICATIONS.

In the application log you will see details on the execution of each SWN_SELSEN execution. See if there were any errors.

Hi,

Wat do you mean with notifications? With extended notifications you can transform dialog workitems to emails, provided the task id's are in the filter.

If you mean the send email step to users and you want to send these out as email then you have to check the user settings and the SO16 setting.
