Hello Expert,
PI 7.1 provides possibility to design local software component version in ESR, which is good since you do not need to create SCV in SLD which normally is managed by basis, not be developer. However I couldn't find a way to use the design objects (Service Interface, operation mapping, etc) of local SCV in integration directory, ID can only find SCV defined in SLD, not the local SCV defined in ESR. Is there a way to use local SCV in ID? If not, what is the purpose of local SCV?
Thanks
Jayson
The local SWCV is only meant for some playing around and experiments with mappings etc. You can not create a working scenario from local software component.

You can also transfer objects of a local software component version to a SWCV registered in the SLD. It's useful during development as you can go ahead to create all your design objects even though SWCV is still pending. When the SWCV is SLD is confirm, you can transfer your design objects into the "real" SWCV.

You can do it from NWDS, PO perspective... don't know why but it works.
