WM 6.4 - Work Order Assignment Type Options - Assignment 4 (Not able to TECO Work Order?)

Hi,

We are implementing SAP Work Manager 6.4 and have set the Work Order Assignment Type to 4 (Distribution by Capacity requirement Person Responsible) as the business process is that the Person Responsible is assigned to the Work Order Operation.

We are able to transmit the Work Order Operations to the device and complete the Operations and also enter a time confirmation accordingly.

Using the Assignment Type 4 option It looks like we are not able to TECO the Work Order - is this correct? Does Assignment Type 4 only allow the mobile user to complete the Work Order Operation and enter a time confirmation?

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary,

Yes, you are correct. For Assignment Type 4, we don't allow user to confirm the work order as some operations are assigned to other users which get affected with it. Users can only complete the operations that's assigned to him.

Hi Chung,

Many thanks for your reply.

Is it possible to allow the TECO Work Order icon to be active as well as allowing the Notification Item tab and Cause Tab to be active during the processing of Operations assigned to the user?

The client has a business process whereby a Notification is created first and then the Work Order and Operations are then created. On TECO of Work Order we have some bespoke code in ECC6 that checks to make sure all Operations have been confirmed and that the Object Part, Damage and Cause Codes have been entered in the linked Notification. If the prerequsiites have not been met then the Work Order can not be set to status TECO and the Notification can not be set to NOCO.

Currently with assigning the user to the Operation they are not able to TECO the Work Order or enter the Object Part, Damage and Cause Codes in the Notification as these icons/tabs are not active.

We are looking to make these icons/tabs active - is this something we would need to do in the Agentry Editor??
