Suppress Scheduling Analysis for Office when no data in report

We are using BI Platform 4.2 SP 08 and Analysis for Office 2.5.

I have scheduled an AO report on the BIP to be sent to 10 different countries. This report is filtered according to country and sent as an attachment to the recipient.

Often the report contains no data. To avoid spam mail containing empty reports, I would like ensure that an email is sent only when the report contains data.

Can this be done? How?

Martin

PS

I noticed that it is possible to create something called a publication in the CMC containing Crystal Report or WebI as a source document. Somehow, it does not seem possible to do the same with Analysis for Office.

Or can someone tell me how to do this?

Hello Martin -- there are several enhancements in 2.6 with respect to scheduling, but I don't see this listed. I also don't see this listed as an idea on Idea Place/Influence - https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/searchcategory?type=campaign&id=889&search=scheduling&managed=0 - I recommend submitting this as an improvement idea.

Hi Tammy,

thanks for your quick response.

I looked at the link to ideas submitted on Idea Place. Request ID: 121056 has status developed. It contains this items -

- no prompt
- no history
We can't see all the historical instances, can't reschedule or change it
- Publication doesn't support Analysis Workbook

The last item is the one I'm looking for, except it is NOT developed. At least, I could not ad an AO workbook as a source document to a publication, although this is possible for CR and WebI.

Do you know exactly what was delivered according to R ID 121056?
