BEX : Hiding the values of the compounded object in Query Designer

Hi All,

Scenario :-

We have the 0PLANT(child object) compounded to 0WORKCENTER (Parent object).

At the report level when we add the 0WORKCENTER we get the display of values of both 0WORKCENTER and 0PLANT separated with " / ".

e.g. 8000/100 (where 8000 is entry in 0WORKCENTER & 100 is entry in 0PLANT)

How can we hide the values of compounded object 0PLANT when we add 0WORKCENTER in the rows window in BEx Query Designer.

The output we require is 8000 in the field 0WORKCENTER when the report is run in the BEx Analyzer.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

Vivek

Put 0plant before 0workcenter in the query rows.

Make 0plant as no display in the properties.

Save and execute the query now.

    Hope this helps

Hi Praveen, I am also having the same kind of but different problem. When I put the child info object on hide, it doesnt it show it as compunded, but my problem is I have Sales office and sales grp compunded. But Sales grp only shows Key value, it not showing Text in the output. Note: I had put Display-Text for the infoobject.

I tried all the things, but not getting exact soln.

If you have any idea plz let me know.

    Thanks.

    Harshal
